There are many kinds of new water soluble fertilizers on the market now, humic acid, amino acid, fish protein and algin, etc. Not only farmers can’t tell the difference, even many dealers and manufacturers are dumbfounded.
In agriculture, all the above four substances can be used as nutrient soil additives, rooting and root-strengthening fertilizer additives, soil improvers, plant growth regulators, foliar fertilizer compound, cold-resistant agents, drought-resistant agents, compound fertilizer synergists, etc.
Humic acid-based fertilizers made by combining with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium have the functions of fertilizer efficiency enhancement, soil improvement, stimulating crop growth and improving the quality of agricultural products.
Humic acid fertilizer
At present, there are more than 1,000 humic acid fertilizer manufacturers in China, which has become the largest humic acid fertilizer producer in the world.
Humic acid fertilizer is a product containing a large amount of humic acid and nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and certain trace elements needed for crop growth and development by using peat, lignite and other raw materials and adopting different production methods.
It is equivalent to an organic inorganic compound fertilizer, which is a typical green and environmentally friendly fertilizer that can improve soil, increase effective nutrients and stimulate crop growth.
Humic acid can also improve soil structure and prevent soil cracking and soil erosion. Physically, it increases the water holding capacity of the soil and improves its drought resistance, while darkening the soil and facilitating the absorption of solar energy.
Chemically, it has the ability to regulate the pH of the soil, improve and optimize the absorption of nutrients and water by plants, and act as a natural chelating agent with metal ions under alkaline conditions to promote their root absorption, among other things.
Fish protein fertilizer
Fish protein is made by crushing or grinding low-value fish and shrimp, and then degrading the protein into low-molecular peptides and amino acids, etc. by using its own enzymes or microorganisms’ decomposition and digestion.
Fish protein fertilizer is a new type of high efficiency fertilizer, including various types of washable fertilizer, foliar fertilizer, water soluble fertilizer and so on.
The fertilizer utilizes modern biochemical molding technology and uses fish protein extracted from deep-sea fish as the main raw material, together with effective medium and micro elements extracted from deep-sea plants, plant growth factors, enzymes and other microbial catalysts.
With the comprehensive and deep development of marine biological resources and the continuous improvement of extraction process in recent years, the raw material cost of fish protein has also decreased.
Fish protein fertilizer has also changed from the initial “expensive fertilizer” to a more “affordable” price today, the price of high-quality fish protein fertilizer and general imports of fertilizer, or slightly lower.
Analysis of fertilizer experts believe that the current price of imported fish protein fertilizer is about 3 to 4 times the price of other water soluble fertilizers (such as large amounts of water soluble fertilizer).
“There is no price advantage, but in terms of improving the environment, improving the soil and improving the quality of agricultural products, fish protein products are very advantageous, and this is where the value of such products lies.”
Amino acid fertilizer
Amino acids are the main organic nitrogen compounds in the soil, accounting for 15% to 60% of the total soil nitrogen. Amino acids in soil are mainly derived from microorganisms, plants and animals and their metabolites.
Amino acids are an important part of soil organic nitrogen and an important nutrient source for soil microorganisms. Soil microorganisms can use amino acids as precursors in the metabolic process to synthesize plant growth regulators through biological pathways to stimulate plant growth and regulate plant physiological processes.
Amino acid fertilizers are mainly amino acid chelated multi-micronutrient fertilizers, developed by using the waste liquid from the hydrolysis of hair to extract cystine.
Animal hair can also be used to extract amino acids as chelating agents, and then add micronutrients to an organic state multi-micronutrient fertilizer made by a certain chemical synthesis process.
When amino acids are used as fertilizer, they are mainly a supplementary source of organic nitrogen and a chelating agent for metal ions. Amino acids have the function of complexing (chelating) metal ions, which can easily carry the microelements (calcium, magnesium, silicon, sulfur, boron, manganese, zinc, iron, copper, molybdenum and selenium) needed by plants into the plants and improve the utilization of various nutrients by plants.
Seaweed fertilizer
Seaweed fertilizer is a kind of coarse powder, liquid or dehydrated dry powder made by extracting the essence of seaweed through special physiological and biochemical process, which is rich in nutrient elements and active substances regulating plant growth in organic state that can be easily absorbed by crops.
Seaweed is a biotechnologically extracted substance from seaweed, rich in regulators such as plant growth regulators, cytokinins and gibberellins and plant active factors such as alginate, vitamins and oligosaccharides, as well as mineral elements, chelated metal ions and marine bioactive substances.
Features of seaweed fertilizer
1、It can promote the rapid division and growth of plant cells.
2、Increase the nutrition needed by plants and improve the resistance of crops.
3、Promote root development, increase crop yield and improve the quality of agricultural products.
4、Contains rich seaweed active substance and organic matter, which can activate the beneficial soil flora and improve the utilization rate of fertilizer.
5、Improve the physical and chemical properties of the soil, break the soil consolidation, fertilize the ground.
6、It can be mixed with many kinds of fertilizers to enhance the fertilization effect.
How to choose ?
1.We must see if there is a Ministry of Agriculture fertilizer registration number.
2.Pay attention to whether the relevant standards are implemented. The implementation standard of water-soluble fertilizer containing humic acid is NY1106-2010, the implementation standard of water-soluble fertilizer containing amino acid is NY1429-2010, seaweed fertilizer and fish protein and known as a large single category of marine biological resources, different from the mineral nutrition of chemical fertilizers, but as an organic nutrition class, to comply with corporate standards.
3.it is best to apply with mineral elements. These substances have good effects in agricultural applications, improving soil structure, increasing the buffering capacity of the soil, improving fertilizer efficiency, increasing crop resistance, improving the quality of agricultural products, etc.
